The TRICOR Group, a specialist in industrial packaging solutions, is building the most modern and sustainable plant for heavy corrugated board in the Weeze - Goch region. On February 9, 2024, the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony took place with numerous guests from politics, society, and business. During the ceremony, wishes for the future of the plant and collaborative efforts were visualized on a large corrugated board, highlighting the importance of the investment by the partners of the Weeze municipality, the city of Goch, and the TRICOR Group. With an investment of 170 million euros, this project is not only a significant milestone for TRICOR Group's growth strategy but also of great importance for the economic development of the region.

Sustainability and Innovation for a Pleasant Working Environment

The plant, built to the highest energy efficiency standards (KFW40), will employ more than 200 people in the future. To meet the energy needs of the machinery as well as to minimize heating in winter and cooling in summer, it will be equipped with a photovoltaic system with a capacity of 3.3 megawatts and four cogeneration units.

"The new plant is not only the most sustainable of its generation, but also offers its employees a highly modern, secure, and pleasant working environment," emphasizes Philipp Kosloh, CEO of the TRICOR Group

The planned product range, including semi-bulk and industrial packaging, as well as the strategic location near the Dutch border, will strengthen TRICOR's position as a leading European provider of industrial packaging.

“Today's groundbreaking marks another important milestone in the company history of the TRICOR Group,” says Klaus Wiblishauser, COO of the TRICOR Group. “The plant is the essence of years of accumulated experience and will set new standards in corrugated board manufacturing and processing at the European level,” Wiblishauser continues.
