The European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers (FEFCO)
The European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers (FEFCO) is a non-profit organisation representing the interests of the industry across Europe and addressing a wide range of issues, from technical topics to economical questions.
Headquartered in Brussels, FEFCO was established in 1952 and is the European umbrella organisation of the corrugated Board Industry. It regroups 24 National Associations (active members), Corresponding members (corrugated board producers in countries where there is no National Association) and Sympathiser members (Suppliers to the industry).
The role of the Federation is to investigate economic, financial, technical and marketing issues of interest to the corrugated packaging Industry, to analyse all factors which may influence the industry, and to promote and develop its image. FEFCO offices are located in Brussels. The International Association is governed by Belgian Law.

Expertise of the European Corrugated Packaging Federation
FEFCO aims at providing the expertise and support needed to the corrugated industry decision-makers and employees of the sector. They provide a unique and trusted source of information. FEFCO ensures that members are permanently informed about the developments that may have an impact on the corrugated-packaging industry.

FEFCO develops technical standards and specifications to support its members and to facilitate cooperation with customers and suppliers on technical issues. The focusevolves over the years, depending on members’ needs, technological developments and customer expectations. FEFCO works on this continuously. New standards or updates are published regularly on the FEFCO website.
FEFCO International fibreboard case code
This Code has been developed by FEFCO and ESBO as an official system to substitute long and complicated verbal descriptions of fibreboard case and packaging constructions with simple symbols internationally understood by all, regardless of language and other differences. The references may be used in orders and specifications for packing cases. Additions and modifications may only be made by FEFCO and ESBO.
